THE BOOK
This Book is a collection of woodblock prints depicting the workplace and daily life
of craftsmen and merchants in Japan some 300 years ago. Published in 1961 by a German, this highly acclaimed book is a valuable reference work in understanding the lifestyles of merchants and commoners during Japan's Edo period(1600-1867).
It is often said that, in order to conduct business with a particular country, we must first appreciate the culture of that country.
